Service Engineer – Mechanical Engineering

With a range of industry awards, they are also one of the Sunday Times’ Profit Track 100 Top 10 companies to watch. An opportunity has now arisen for a Service Engineer to join their team.
Reporting to the Workshop Manager/Team Leader, as a Service Engineer you will be responsible for repairing and servicing the company’s pipe-jointing and other plant equipment for the hire fleet, as well as customer’s own machinery.
Your responsibilities will include workshop repairs, driving duties and stores duties as appropriate to support the efficient running of the Service Centre. There will be occasions where you may need to assist with support at other company sites, including attending in-depth and expansive training programmes.
To be considered for the role of Service Engineer, you must have the following:
- A mechanical engineering / mechanics background
- A flexible disposition and the ability to communicate well with others
- A full (non HGV) driving licence.
Ideally, but not essentially, you will also have a forklift and a trailer towing licence, experience of working with electronics and hydraulics and/or a working knowledge of servicing petrol/ diesel generators.
